Chevrolet has set a record in highway fuel economy with the new Colorado, also sold under the GMC Canyon label, by using a four-cylinder diesel engine. It has the highest highway mileage of any U.S.-market pickup of any size.
The Chevy/GMC twins have a highway rating of 31 mpg, with city mileage of 22 mpg. The added cost of the diesel option is $3,730.
